DR. BARBARA YINGLING WERT, SECRETARY Barbara Yingling Wert is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Exceptionality Programs/Special Education Program at Bloomsburg University. Prior to a teaching/research career at Bloomsburg University, Dr. Wert spent over 22 years working in the field of Education in a variety of settings and experiences serving children with and without disabilities. She holds certifications in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education. Her experiences afforded unique opportunities with diverse populations and provided her with a wide array of knowledge regarding children in both exclusionary and inclusionary settings. She has been a member of NERA since 1998, attending first as a graduate student (co-presenting with a faculty member), then serving on the program committee, and as co-chair of the 2004 Conference. She now serves as your secretary to the Executive Board.
